Always remember the “Golden Rule” of adjustable wrenches: Always pull the wrench toward you so the pressure is on the stationary (fixed) jaw, not the movable one. If you put too much torque on the movable jaw, you risk snapping the adjustment screw—and no amount of “secret holes” will fix a broken tool!
