Slow Cooker Mississippi Pot Roast

5. Slow Cook ⏰

Cover and cook on:

  • LOW for 8–9 hours for the best texture, or
  • HIGH for 4–5 hours when you’re short on time.

The roast is ready when it is extremely tender and easily pulls apart with a fork.

6. Shred the Beef 🍖

Carefully remove the roast from the slow cooker and place it on a large plate or cutting board.

Use two forks to shred the beef into large, juicy pieces. Remove any large pieces of connective tissue or excess fat.

Return the shredded beef to the cooking juices and gently toss to coat.
